Lake Wackena and Spring Lake were both lowered in early January for residents who obtained a permit to perform seawall repairs. The gates have been closed and both of the lakes are filling back up. It should only take a few weeks for Lake Wackena to be back to normal. However, it will be months before Spring Lake will be back it it’s normal level.
The next scheduled time to lower the lakes will be January 2026.
